Question 1

This is the nine frames that I selected from my front cover, contents and double page spread.
Looking at the masthead 'MU' I think that it is very similar to other popular music magazines such Q and NME.One of the main similarity's is that the words are both short which makes the name of the magazine stand out to the readers. I also noticed while doing my research that NME sometimes place the masthead over the top of the models head which is where I got my inspiration from by doing this it creates importance to the magazine and gives it a significance. The font I used for the masthead is called Trajan Pro, this font creates a very bold and eye catching look to the magazine. I used many effects on my masthead so that the readers will look at it straight away. I used the colour gold first for my masthead but now I have changed it as it didn't stand out after I changed my main image. So now MU is in a grey/silver colour but it still has the same effects. I used this colour as it is representable to both males and females. The mise-en-scene of the images feature Emila in strong poses,  which links to the story within the magazine. These poses also show her change in attitude, how she is become stronger in herself and in the other confident in her own body. The pictures are all different, the one featured on my front cover shows Emila looking into the camera standing with her arms by her side, this shows a serious side to her. This magazine shows a normal girl who isn't a glamorous model and fake, just a normal girl who is making something of herself. Readers will relate and sympathise with her inspiration in life. Her clothes are up to date and something the target audiences can aspire too. In other photos, Emila is still in casual up to date clothing, showing that she is much like the target audience of the magazine. The picture that is different is the image of Emila at the awards ceremony, where she is an elegant dress but this dress is still up to date and very inspirational to her fans. In these images, there are no props either. For the title on my double page spread, Emila Fox is in a fancy font which is French Script MT, I find this a very femimne font and that it bring elegance to the story. All the other fonts on the double page spread are California FB, which is a simple, recognisable font which consists throughout. I used colour codes to define who was the interviewer and Emila. The written content on my double page spread consists of  a mixture between an interview and an article. I think its good that I have done this as I can get detail in through my article then abit of imangination with the interview. Ive set it into collums, where there is a little intro where Emila talks, then following that is a starter than two questions from the interview. I did start with more of an article but then I decided to change it to abit both. The font of this text is Califorina FB, I think it is a formal looking text but it is also very reconsible and not too much to read. I made the background colour white so the black and red text would stand out agaisnt it. My magazine suggests a mass genre, appealing to many people as it isn't just appealing to one auidence. Young people are intrested in many genres these days, its clear by the way the artist is represented that she appeals to many auidences and isn't appealing to just one genre of auidence.
